The purpose of Servant Leaders Institute is to encourage and support meaningful leadership throughout communities.
Servant Leaders Institute is a community-based organization.
SLI was founded to support and develop leaders, challenge inequity throughout society, and build community. SLI is heavily inspired by the work of the student support network created by its founder during their time as a public school teacher.
This network included community members and leaders who serve by building community, supporting education, advocating for underprivileged persons, and etc.
The work of Servant Leaders Institute is guided by the shared values formed and emphasized within that network-education, determination, community, and humanity.
INITIATIVES
Servant leadership in action through initiatives and various partnerships
Youth Leadership Cohort -Each year, SLI hosts 10 girls who desire to strengthen their advocacy skills and center their wellness in a safe space. Each session prepares the cohort to serve and lead in their community.
Book Giveaways - You help SLI promote social awareness and literacy when buying books from the wishlist. The books chosen often address important societal issues.
